Grant funding to support people to claim Universal Credit
The Department for Work and Pensions is offering funding through the Future Support Offer for organisations to support people in England, Scotland and Wales who need support to both:
– make a new claim for Universal Credit
– maintain their new Universal Credit claim up until their first full correct payment
The support is to be provided through accessible telephony and digital channels, including webchat.
Closing date for applications: 11.59pm on 15 October 2021
The successful organisations are expected to be ready to start providing support from 1 April 2022. Funding will end on 31 March 2023, but may be extended for another year.
Although the DWP adds that –
‘… at present there is no guarantee that DWP will secure the requisite funding for the Future Support Offer and therefore DWP reserves the right to terminate the FSO Grant Competition …’
